Tasting Note Deep ruby and flashes bright red with every swirl. The aromas of salty caper flowers and fig leaves flourishing from sun-baked walls, of ripening figs and morello cherries with their ripe sweetness tempered by savory herbs, nepitella and oregano. Tannins are as firm as potter’s hands sculpting the wine into elegant shape. The finish is long and intricate, with the promise of further stories to tell. Enjoy our Sei, with time to spare, as this is a wine that must not be hurried.Vinification Manual harvest and organic viniculture. 18 months 500lt French oak and then 12 months in bottle. Sei Gran Selection Chianti Classico DOCG
Italy / Chianti Classico
Sei is the number six in Italian and there were many instances of this number coinciding with the production of our Gran Selezione. The single-vineyard wine comes from a special selection of grapes in a vineyard area measuring 6.6 hectares with a density of 6,666 vines per hectare within our Vineyard Belvedere. The tonneaux barrels we predominantly use hold 666 bottles of wine and our lovely Laura was born in 6/6/46.
